MEET THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS
Adam Jones
Growing up in Cincinnati, Adam found out about our wonderful sport in the late summer of 1990 when a friend asked him and others to go play some Frisbee golf. One round at Winton Woods is all it took to get him hooked. He played several rounds a day for the next year or so and on one of those days he met Hank Roderick at Winton Woods hosting the first Worlds Biggest Disc Golf Weekend event in 91'. Hank helped him and his friends learn about the basics of good form, grip, disc flight, and player etiquette. Soon after in 1994 Adam joined our local club, the GCFDA, and started competing at their events. He is now the co-owner of The Nati Disc Golf, has served as President, VP, and Course Pro at Mt.Airy for the club, has helped and designed a few local courses, hosted dozens of events each year from cub scout clinics to being your DGPT Idlewild Open TD. His relenting pursuit of perfection and efficiency can be seen by how well their events are ran and the experience this provides for the players, staff, and spectators. |
Jason Kerl
Jason began throwing discs around 1988 and fell in love with the sport. In 2009 he began working at The Nati Disc Golf and ran his first PDGA event that year. In 2013 Jason along with Adam became the new owners of The Nati Disc Golf. He continues to run over a dozen events every year including at least 5 PDGA events ranging from C-Tiers to DGPT A-Tier. As far as the Idlewild Open goes Jason does a lot of the behind the scenes stuff. He is the go to graphics guy for the event from logos, banners, shirts, website, caddy book, tee signs, etc. |
